PropellerHeadHosting.com was founded as a part of the K-Factor Technologies, Inc. family after noticing a lot of ecommerce sites were struggling with various hosting alternatives while supporting our shopping cart app in various hosting company user support forums. Most needed more more resources and a webhosting partner that didn't turn off their site under heavy use or modules their server admin (at the webhosting company) refused to install for them.

The name of our hosting company is based on a joking-like compliment a forum moderator named Dan called the our founder right before starting PropellerheadHosting.com. Dan called him the "propeller head" that all the thousands of users turned to. The name, while longer than initially desired, seemed to fit a hosting company that is knowledgeable. So, it stuck. And 20 years later, here we are - still offering great services to those that want to be treated like a person and friend rather than a number by some unknown support agent in chumba-wumba.

We are US based and owned, politically neutral, and liberty/freedom oriented. We do not host millions of sites, not even hundreds of thousands.
